There is no better way to tour the battlefield than with an experienced guide. Antietam National Battlefield offers free scheduled ranger tours. See schedule below. For private tours of the battlefield, the park now offers a supervised guide service for all groups - small or large. The typical tour is two-hours long and covers the historical outlines of the Battle at Antietam and the Maryland Campaign of 1862, as well as features of historical interest and markings of the battlefield. These tours are by reservation only.
